FurMark Test Modes
The benchmark offers several options allowing the user to tweak the rendering: fullscreen / windowed mode, MSAA selection, window size, duration. There are three test modes:
Preset: allows the user to select a set of standard GPU and graphics card configurations. A preset consists in several configuration values (GPU clock speed, GPU voltage, etc). The Preset can be either “default” or “factory”. The factory presets use the factory GPU and memory clock speeds defined by the manufacturer.
The default presets use the current OpenGL vendor-specific GPU and memory clock speeds. Note that some GPUs (like Intel’s integrated HD Graphics) don’t allow to change their clocks and are stuck with a single preset.
Xtreme Burning Mode (XBM): this mode renders only Fur using full GPU power. This mode is intended for stress testing only and may damage your hardware. In this mode all OpenGL vendor-specific optimizations are disabled (for example: nVidia maximum pre-rendered frames = 1).
